A sheetmask a day! Ft. Mirabelle Cosmetics Korea| Sheetmask review|

Mirabelle Cosmetics is a Korean brand which recently started operating in India as well. As of now they have launched their range of sheet masks here and I am one of those lucky people to whom they have sent a PR package consisting all the sheet mask variant they have and I did the #ASheetMaskADay thing with them for 5 days.

The variants which I got are-

• Cucumber
• Berry
• Aloe vera
• Herbs
• Lemon
• Papaya

The packaging of these masks are same as other standard sheet masks.

Quality of the mask-

The quality of the sheet is quite good. It’s not too thin which can tear anytime during using it. It’s actually quite sturdy and fits well onto the face

Ingredients- 

These masks do not contain denatured alcohol which is the best thing in them.It does contain glycerine, hydrogenated castor oil, along with niacinamide as common ingredients in all their masks which helps to keep check on zits and acne. And it contains the extract of the main ingredient like lemon extract for lemon mask, cucumber extract for cucumber mask etc along with some other natural extracts. As a whole I am happy with the ingredient list of all the masks.

My Experience- 

I have used these masks at night time after washing my face and I could see that the dullness on my face due to the whole days’s exposure to sun,pollution etc and work stress was turned into a beautiful glow and I couldn’t be more happier. Also I didn’t break me out, which is the best thing for me whenever I am trying a new product.

It contains enough serum/essence to even use those on your neck and hands and I do that only.

Also these masks can be used by both men and women and my man also loved using the masks with me. He had used the lemon mask the day before he had an important event and he couldn’t be more happier. It instantly made his face brighter and took away all the dullness.

The only bad thing about these masks is their marketing strategy. They have used the “Fairness card” to capture the market in India which I am totally against of. And I really didn’t like the first line of their Chairman’s message- “Fair and beautiful people around us is our motto”. Please understand that beautiful,brighten, lighten etc etc is NOT equal to fair. Dark complexioned women are also beautiful and you can also help them achieving a brighter (which means glowy and without dullness) and lighter(just curing the uneven skin tone,if any hyper pigmentation is there) skin without having the motto to change their complexion and make them fair.

So let me sum up the pros and cons of this for you guys.

Pros–

• No alcohol
• No paraben
• Good ingredient list
• The sheet is of good quality
• Imparts glow and removes dullness
• Provides adequate hydration
• Ideal for both men and women
• Gives nice competition to the masks available from the leading K-Beauty brands in India
• Didn’t cause breakout to my super sensitive skin.

Cons–

• Their ideologies. Although it didn’t effect the quality of the mask but it will surely effect the quality of society we live in. So I would be more than happy if Mirabelle Cosmetics takes this review seriously and work on it and contribute a little to make the society better along with making our skin better.

Klairs rich moist soothing sheet mask |First impression|

Hello Sweeties

So my today’s post is about the second sheet mask I have used after using Innisfree it’s real squeeze mask, green tea . I was introduced to this mask by a fellow blogger Clara Gomes,you can visit her site by clicking here. She is a great blogger and a very sweet person :). She is the one who inspired me to try korean skin care products. So after trying innisfree mask(which I loved) I tried this one. Read out to know my first impression of the product. I repeat,this is not a final review of a product and a first impression

This is how the packaging looks like. It contains the detail and claims of the product,so I won’t repeat that.

This is the back of the packet which clearly mentions the direction for use,care to be taken(caution) and the ingredients.

My Experience

Few things which attract me for buying this sheet mask is

• Recommendation from a known K-beauty blogger(she knows my skin type)
• Contains Hyaluronic acid, which has multiple benefits on our skin.
• Alcohol free(mainly Denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol)
• Paraben free
• Controls oil
• 100% cotton sheet
• Balanced pH

I have used this mask after keeping it in refrigerator for about 10 mins,so that it can give me a cooling effect.

The size of the mask is a bit broader than the innisfree one,but that’s fine(atleast to me)

The eye area is also different from the innisfree mask. It has a half eye cut so that you can just put it on,cover your eyes and relax.And this is exactly what I did 😀

I kept it for good 25-30 mins(which is a bit more than mentioned) and then removed the mask and massaged my skin for full absorption of the product followed by applying a moisturizer

I could notice that the skin became hydrated instantly but then I was waiting to see more prominent result in the morning as it happened with me last time that next morning my mother saw a very visible change in my skin

BUT to my horror,I don’t know why this happened,the very next morning I had a break out in my face 😦 😦 😦 (during application only I had some redness,but I thought the mask will calm it down)

I was disappointed as I had set my expectations very high for this product but nothing like that happened 😦

Then I thought about it and realized that I was PMSing that time,and thanks to my uncontrollable hormones many a times I have breakouts,rashes and roughness in my skin just before the period. So it can be a reason for the breakout 

Final verdict

I can’t actually judge this mask yet as I still trust Clara for K-beauty suggestions and the list of ingredients of this mask and their claims and reviews of other bloggers are so good that there was very less chance that this mask will fail,but it did 😦 😦

Still I would use this sheet mask again to understand if it doesn’t suit me or it was the hormone for which I had the breakout and will update my final review soon.

Review of Innisfree it’s real squeeze mask “Green tea”

Hello beauties,

Today, I am going to review a much hyped product from the brand “Innisfree.” For those who do not know Innisfree, it’s a Korean brand which has a range of skin care products and cosmetics. This brand is known for using all natural ingredients for making their products. Recently, I have seen many reviews from my fellow bloggers and some of my friends about K-Beauty,so I decided to give these sheet masks a try. I have a very sensitive skin which is prone to acne and rashes,so I have bought two masks-green tea and aloe vera(which are known to treat inflammation and acne) and another one from their “skin clinic mask” range for my mother. Today, I am reviewing the Green tea sheet mask. Read on to know more about this product.

My Experience with Innisfree It’s Real Green Tea Mask:
The packaging is very simple yet very chic which has photo of the main ingredient present in the mask. There is a provision to tear open the pack easily, but be careful because the packet is a bit small,so the mask tends to come up to the top. The packet contains one sheet, fully soaked in the serum.

The mask sheet is made of high quality cotton and is gentle on skin. The sheets are neither very thick nor very thin and are easy to use. The mask smells fresh and rejuvenating. It is not too strong to bother you as you have to keep it for almost half an hour. I enjoyed putting the mask on

The serum is very light and thin in consistency. I can’t compare it with other masks as it is the first mask I am trying. But the consistency is such that it does not drip from the sheet, which is one of the best thing as it does not make the process messy.

Coming to the shape of the mask, it is an average fit for your face. Again I can’t compare it with others as I haven’t tried anything before. I had used the mask straight after washing my face with my regular cetaphil face wash(which I love to use). I kept it on for 25-30 minutes till the sheet became almost dry and most of the serum was absorbed.  When I removed it, I felt a light layer of serum all over my face. I massaged it further for a couple of minutes till it is completely absorbed in my skin. I didn’t put anything else on my skin after that and went to sleep

After waking up in the morning I noticed that my skin was looking clearer,radiant and glowing.I didn’t inform my mother that I have used the mask at night,till she asked if I have done something extra to my skin than my regular CTM routine. So I can conclude that it brings a considerable amount of change so that people can notice.

As you all know that, green tea is a great option to treat acne and inflammation as it is full of antioxidants that could help in these situations, so I was very excited to use this mask. The effect lasted for 2-3 days, my face was looking as if I had done a facial. It looked supple. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the results.

Pros of Innisfree It’s Real Green Tea Mask:

• Serum is light and non sticky
• Smells very nice 
• Gives a nice relaxing feeling while it’s on the face.
• Makes skin radiant,supple and clear
• Effects are long lasting considering the price
• Made up of natural products.

Cons of Innisfree It’s Real Green Tea Mask:
I couldn’t find any cons except the fact that I would loved it more if there would have been any chance to use the mask at least twice

Would I Repurchase it??

I have already got 2 more
